Its Their lives or Ours.
Does the government take action only when innocent people are dying or
when they have
enough legitimacy? Obama obviously loves to get involved
with enemies and their catastrophes, but what about the shit that he has
committed in his own country? Right now Obama is about to strike on
Syria for its destruction on chemical weapons that killed over 10,000
people over the past 3 years. Many U.S citizens and Obama himself are
saying he should focus on the problem with the economy and the high
unemployment in the U.S. Though Obama ignores the lower class. Is it
because he’s become rich and famous as a president, that he’s forgotten
all the poor people in the country? Especially in Chicago; his hometown,
that has the highest crime rates in the country? Why couldn't he bring
serious attention to this before all the news about Syria? I agree, the
things that are happening in Syria is not at all okay, but its just not
in Syria thats happening. Its going on all over the world. Its just not
as exposed and if it is, he definitely won't even mention it. The U.S
has to much of a deficit to start getting involved with other countries
problems but at the same time, the news about Syria is too much to
ignore now. Who knows what could lead up to after going into Syria. Its
best to make a deal with the U.S, if the military is going to get
involved with Syria, the government better make poverty an extreme topic
as well and actually help the lower class. In Obama’s speech he only
mentioned the middle class. The middle class obviously is not at rock
bottom. Theres actually a class lower than that, in extreme poverty
which I'm sure he’s heard of. But he can surely turn his head the other
way but can ignore other country’s wars. If Obama didn't know, he’s also
killing slowly his own citizens, his all the money, jobs and
opportunity he’s taken away from us. Why can't other countries come and
stop him from doing this and help us too? Other countries always rely on
the U.S to step in and be the hero of the innocents, but the U.S has
its own problems that are never approached but just pushed away for the
poor to deal with. The rich could care less about the president's action
because their health is going to stay the same, they don't care,
they’re not affected by it. Its the people who are barely living off $
1,000 a year who are actually going to get hit the harder and their
children the hardest, off these political decision. They are the ones
who are worried where their money is going and if its going to do them
any good, are they going to get something out their hard days of work?
Maybe just some more money taken out of their paycheck to fund the war.
Are we working each and every day just to pay for another war to start?
Might as well quit right now. The government doesn't fund money right
out their fancy wallets. While
we struggle to keep our nation rising in stable economy, the government
is not worried about his own citizens dying in extreme poverty, they’re
focusing more on national security with other countries problem. They
rather take care of them first instead of their own country.
''Anytime you seriously dissect the issue on poverty, you have to talk about wealth and income inequality(105).'' Its obvious that the government wont talk about poverty, its becuase if they do, they have no choice but to also talk about the roots of where it got created and the things around it that are sinking poeple down into poverty. The government is afraid to talk about how rich and wealthy they are and how its that 1% of people who are killing people and leaving them on the lower class.
Yuri this is more of a rant than an essay, it is fun to read. We can discuss in class. Keep moving forward, don't worry about rewriting this. I am sure you know it is not an academic essay.
